Resources & Prompts#
Besides the 46 tools, the MCP server publishes a handful of resources (machine-readable lists an agent can read directly) and prompts (ready-made workflows). Both are served by bite mcp; the CLI equivalents are the listing tools noted below.
Resources#
Each resource is the JSON answer of its listing tool:
| URI | Name | Contents | Backing tool |
|---|---|---|---|
bite://calendars | Calendars | All calendars with ids | calendar_list_calendars |
bite://reminders/lists | Reminder lists | All reminder lists | reminders_list_lists |
bite://mail/mailboxes | Mailboxes | Mail mailboxes with unread counts | mail_mailboxes_list |
bite://notes/folders | Notes folders | Notes folders per account | notes_folders |
bite://contacts/groups | Contact groups | Contact groups with member counts | contacts_groups |
Resources answer the "what exists" question — the ids an agent needs before it can scope a search or target a create. Reading a resource and calling its backing tool return the same data; the resource is there for clients that prefer the resource surface.
Prompts#
Three workflow prompts ship with the server. A prompt is a pre-written instruction your agent can pick up; each names the tools it uses and ends in an action rule (ask before acting, or keep it scannable).
plan-my-week#
Look at my calendar events for the next 7 days with
calendar_events_search, list my open reminders withreminders_search(due within 14 days), then propose a day-by-day plan that fits around my existing events. Ask before creating anything.
triage-inbox#
Search unread mail with
mail_messages_search(mailbox INBOX, unread true). For each message give a one-line summary and a suggestion: reply, archive, flag, or delete. Do not act without my confirmation.
daily-brief#
Give me a brief for today: today's events (
calendar_events_searchfor today), reminders due today (reminders_searchdue_within_days 1), unread count and flagged mail (mail_messages_search), and any recent iMessages (messages_chats_recent). Keep it scannable.
All three respect bite's confirm-first rules by construction: the prompts ask the agent to propose, and the destructive tools beneath them still return previews until confirm: true. Claude Code and ZCode users get the same guidance — plus recipes and rules of thumb — from the agent skill shipped in the marketplace plugin.
